Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication University Act was passed in December 2004 by the Chhattisgarh Assembly and its publication in the Gazette on January 24, 2005. It is named after Late Shri Kushabhau Thakre. He has been worshipped as a true “NishkamKarmYogi” (A selfless man who is devoted to his work honestly without caring for the fruits) in India’s political and Social scenario. The University was established on December 2004. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the University on 16 April 2005 at Raipur amidst the greeting of the eminent journalist, educationalist, literature, social workers and senior politicians.

The admission procedure for Postgraduate courses (Master of Journalism, Master of Social Work, M.A in (Advt. & Public Relation, Mass Communication, Prayojanmulak Hindi, Sahitya Avam Anuvad, Indology & Heritage Management, Chhattisgarhi), M.B.A. in (Media Management, HR Development, Hospital Administration) and M.Sc. in Electronic Media.) is based on entrance test, which is organized by KTUJM, Raipur. Students have to pay application fee INR 300 at the time of registration procedure. All students who are interested in taking admission in Postgraduate courses must appear for the test on 28th June 2019 at the University campus Raipur. Dates are tentative Students.

Interested Students may apply with application fee Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST) in the form of DD drawn in favor of Registrar, KTUJM, Raipur. Students may apply online or by post in prescribed format which can be downloaded from the website or from the direct link that will be provided below.

Before applying On-Line, keep the following information/codes ready with yourself like; Subject name, Exam Centre, Date of Birth, Marks obtained, Challan details (Bank name, Branch/city name, Branch code, Journal No. challan date etc)

Eligible Students, in their own interest, are advised to keep the photocopy of sides of the completed Application Form (hard copy), Certificate of Postage, Challan copy (as a proof of fee deposit) and three identical copies of the passport size photographs which has been affixed on the Application Form

A copy of this Form along with the Counseling/Entrance Test Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST) in Demand Draft, Photostat/Scanned Copies of School /Degree Certificates, and Certificate indicating the date of birth be submitted at the time of Counseling/Entrance Test
