The Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya was founded on the 11th April 2012 under the Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya Act, 2011. The University makes provision for the development of human resources by imparting education in the domain of veterinary and Animal Sciences. The university also promotes partnership and linkages with the different national and international institutes of veterinary education. This also helps to enhance the contribution of livestock sector thus offering the security of food supplies, reduction in people below poverty level, the growth of the economy in the state of Chhattisgarh. The university has 3 colleges affiliated to itself. They are the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry situated at Anjora in Durg, then a College of Dairy Science and Food Technology situated at Raipur and a College of Fisheries situated at Kawardha.

The annual term end examinations of the university are held twice a year in the months of March and October respectively. The exam notifications are released online for this purpose under the “Examination” section. The applicants are is CGKV admit cards offline by the university from the concerned departments. The hall ticket is the mandatory document to be carried at the examination centre to enter in the examination hall.
